Who is Epitome PD built for?
Hockey players who treat the sport as a discipline rather than a hope — from junior and college athletes through the pro and national-program tiers. EpitomePD is built for players 14 and up. Athletes under 18 participate with parental consent, either through their own account (results unlock once a parent or guardian consents by email) or through an account created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who purchases, consents, and sees all results.
What makes Epitome better than other products?
While other products are based on subjective self-report opinions that can change from day to day and often involve only one assessment aspect, Epitome combines multiple aspects — genetics, environmental, and sport-specific — to provide comprehensive predispositions that are based on objective genetic and historical data points. Furthermore, the environmental predispositions use clinically-studied methodology utilizing a purpose-built Reference Database. No other product offers the breadth and depth of Epitome.
Is EpitomePD an advanced hockey training program?
EpitomePD is the assessment layer that makes advanced hockey training personal. Instead of a generic drill plan, it maps a player’s mental and physical predispositions — through a 90-item, hockey-calibrated behavioral assessment and a 22-marker genetic test — and fuses them into one personalized performance dossier with three tailored training actions to work on each month. Players, parents, and coaches use it to direct the on-ice and off-ice training they already do.
Does EpitomePD use genetics (DNA) to personalize hockey training?
Yes. The genetic half of EpitomePD is an at-home 22-marker cheek-swab test covering markers relevant to hockey performance — explosive stride, shift recovery, endurance, durability, and strength among them. Combined with the behavioral assessment, those genetic predispositions shape a personalized, genetics-informed hockey training profile: every report is human-reviewed and arrives with concrete monthly actions. Reports are for performance development and personal interest, not medical advice.
How long does the biometric environmental assessment take?
About 35 minutes to work through all 90 items, organised in pages of 10 with previous-page navigation. Your scored PDF report and dashboard summary land immediately on submission.
How does the genetic kit work?
A cheek-swab kit ships to the address you provide at checkout, along with a prepaid return envelope. Collect the sample within seven days of opening the kit and drop the envelope in any mailbox. Your lab-processed, human-reviewed report typically lands in your dashboard 14–21 days after the lab receives your sample.
Is my data private?
Your personal, assessment, and genetic data are never sold. We will not disclose your individual results to any insurer, employer, athletic organisation, or other third party without your specific further written consent, except where required by law.
To run the platform we rely on service providers — including Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), our laboratory partner (genetic analysis), and Google’s Gemini AI, which turns your scores into your report’s written narrative without receiving your name or email. Some providers process data in the United States. We may also use de-identified, aggregated data to improve our scoring models. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Are the reports medical advice?
No. Our reports are intended for personal interest, performance development, and athletic context only. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or genetic-counseling advice from a qualified professional, and should not be used to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition.
Where do you ship?
Genetic Test Kits and bundles currently ship within the United States and Canada. International availability is on the roadmap.
How are payments processed?
All payments are processed by Stripe with PCI-compliant card handling — we never see or store your card details. Pricing is one-time per product. No subscription, no auto-renewal, no upsells.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests on unused, unshipped products are accepted within 14 days of purchase — email epitomehockey@gmail.com. Sales are final once your kit has shipped, your assessment has been started, or your results have been delivered.
